Dom was an extraordinary and gifted Musician, Composer, Educator & Author.
He was always exploring and growing, taking the music further as his recordings are witness to, even though he recorded for Blue Note
his unique chord structure & harmony is in his own CDM label beginning with "Takin' the Duke Out" recorded live at the Knitting Factory in NYC. Dom only played with the Best musicians, and although he never got the commercial recognition he deserved, his Memorial held at St. Peter's Jazz Church in Mid-town was attended by more than 100 musicians & friends from Mexico, California, Texas,
Baltimore, Florida & more; all acknowledged what a 'Giant' he was - not only as a musician but a person. It was live-streamed and may still be seen on Utube. Dom won many health battles which is why we believed like a phoenix, he would rise from his last one. Sadly he did not, so with indescribable grief, I submit this. Carol Mennie-Minasi
