Boston 2007 Educator of the Year
Beverly Williams has not only been a product of the Boston Public School system, but returned to it many years later to become a middle school teacher. For the last 9 nines, Mayor Thomas M. Menino, the Boston School Committee, Boston Public Schools and the Boston Teachers Union recognize and honor extraordinary teachers. They look at their dedication, innovation and passion about serving young people and take into account how these professionals go above and beyond for their school communities. Williams was among 13 other extraordinary educators who received this prestigious award.
