I remember being best friends with Flip in Grade School. Still can't believe it after all these years. He was the most unique person I've ever known in terms of raw physical talent. He would try anything and normally was successful. Was good at everything, could Pole Vault higher than most Seniors as a Freshman. God knows how high he would have gotten. Could ride a bike, motorcycle, doing wheelies the first time he got on. He would write very slowly, since he wanted his writing perfect. And it was. Still have his obituary, one of a kind, never forgotten.
