| About Me | After graduating from Auburn University Montgomery, I did my internship at the Alabama Department of Public Health, in their Video Communications Division. Later, I went to work for American Klassic Designs, illustrating Tshirts for Auburn-Alabama mascots. I started doing freelance animation for TV spots and commercials in 1992, then in 1995 started teaching Video Animation at AUM. I worked for KinderCare as a Multimedia Specialist, and they sent me to the Richard Williams Animation Masterclass in 1997 (Williams was Animation Director on Roger Rabbit). When KinderCare shut down their Montgomery office, I worked for Alabama Public TV as a Computer Graphics Operator in 1998. When my freelance animation business got busy, I quit my APT job; that turned out to be not such a hot idea when "Lake Freelance opportunity" dried up afterward. I met my wife, Albalis, an architect from Costa Rica at this time, and we got married just as I started working for a printing company doing typesetting. Then ABC-32 Montgomery announced their need for a CG operator; I applied for the job, and they not only hired me, but my wife started working there as a camera operator part-time. I worked there almost five years before layoffs finally closed down the news department; almost five months later I was re-hired when their Creative Services Director suggested me as his replacement. My wife got a job offer at a firm near Atlanta, and eventually I got a job teaching animation at Westwood College Atlanta.
