Tom was raised in Jefferson and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1980. After high school he started his family. He was blessed with five children, Amand, Brandon, Natasha, Anthony and Nicole. Tom was a good skater and could even dance on his roller skates. He had many talents including wood working, mechanics, painter, carpentry and many more.
