About Me	My wife, Margaret (Toni) O'Brien (Jeff Class of '56) passed away May 30, 2021. This was a 2nd marriage for both of us. Toni packed up her life to be with me in Germany and we were together for 40 years. Together we had 6 children, 10 grand children, 12 greats and 2 great greats. We lost 3 sons. I retired from the Air Force in '83, at Vandenberg AFB, CA, as a Chief Master Sergeant (E9) and worked the next 13 years in the travel industry as an agent and human resource manager and 7 years in Air Force civil service at Vandenberg. Toni was a full charge book keeper and worked in Germany for Emery Riddle University; in Lompoc for a CPA firm, and construction company; and a rental agency in Santa Maria where we lived for 19 years. In 2003 we both retired and moved to Fredericksburg, VA to be closer to most of our family members leaving a son and 2 granddaughters on the west coast. Would you believe that many of those family members now live in Florida, Georgia, California and Oregon - se la vi! In our gated community Toni became an accomplished colored pencil artist, volunteered at a local homeless agency, served 6 years (1 as president) on our community board of directors, and enjoyed playing bridge and traveling (with me of course). I serve on a military veterans committee, worked as a concierge at our community center for 8 years, on our community chorus group for several years, and helped set up sound equipment for meetings and shows, We both were involved in starting tai chi classes at our community center and I continue teaching tai chi and co-lead qi gong ...(read more)
