Alicia passed away at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Philadelphia, Pa. She fought breast cancer for 5 long years. She is survived by her husband, Dennis James Shawyer, daughters Victoria Shawyer and Haleigh Shawyer. She has a step-son Justin Souders and wife Tiffany with grandchildren Eddie and Layla Souders. Also surviving are her father, Donald Wayne Tyree, sisters Sheila Tyree Ditto ('78) and husband Michael and Rene Tyree ('79). She also leaves behind many brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, and great nieces and nephew. She is greatly missed but above all she is greatly loved more each day.
