About MICHELLE'S OBITUARY
Michelle Riggs, 47, departed this life in the evening of May 12, 2023, following a battle with colon cancer. Her devoted husband, Walt, was by her side as she passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus.

She met Walt, the love of her life, in 2002. They married later that year and shared almost twenty-one years together. In 2013, they moved to Jacksonville to be near family. Whenever possible, they enjoyed spending time at the beach.

Michelle had a deep and abiding faith in God. She was a member of the Wesconnett Church of Christ and found much joy in being of service in any way she could, particularly teaching children's classes.

She enjoyed coloring, painting and crocheting and cheerfully shared her creations with friends, family and other service organizations. She had a very tender, generous heart. Her passing will leave a void in the lives of all who knew her.
