About	In 1989 Tywanda was diagnosed with a life threatening heart disease. On March 16, 1991, she received a heart transplant at Emory University in Atlanta, GA . She went on to graduate from Georgia Southern University and from Auburn University with a Master's degree in Fashion Design in December 1999.
