Sue (Frank) Kendig and Harold Shepard have sent me the following information about an alternative celebration for us 59ers. This picnic/celebration would give us time and a lot of freedom to move around and visit everyone. The only cost to you would be whatever food or drink you would choose to bring. In the past very few of our class who live locally or nearby come so those of us who travel from California, Texas, Colorado and other states don’t get to see a lot of you. Please share this info with others you know, just in case we are unable to reach everyone. It would be GREAT if we could get almost all of our class together. If you have phone numbers, street addresses or email addresses for some of our classmates, please forward them to me at garygreen2@comcast.net or call me at 281-515-7916 (my Cell Phone #). If you call and I don’t answer, please leave a message and I will get back to you. Harold has said he would provide ice some of you would bring coolers so we can keep our drinks My current plan is to attend both the picnic and the evening banquet. “Hi from snowy Colorado: Harold Shepard and I have been talking about and looking ahead to (yikes ... shhh ...dare I say it?) our 60th PHS reunion, Saturday, June 15, 2019.
It seems likely this may be the last one many of us will be able to attend. And so, we thought it would nice to plan a daytime celebration/ party just for the ‘59 class.
WHAT: Picnic - everyone bring their own food, drinks, utensils, chairs, blanket
WHERE: Haynes Park
WHEN: Saturday, June 15 - 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (or later)
We hope someone will bring a 50’s CD/ CD player and other really great music (ie. Runaround Sue, Wake Up Little Susie, Peggy Sue

ATTENTION -- We have two primary events. (1) Gail Compton has sent out the information for us to register for the evening banquet. Bonnie and I and several others have already sent in our registrations.
(2) New this year is our optional picnic at Haynes Park--detailed information is shown above. There is no registration for this. Just show up at Haynes Park from 11-2 or later. Your only cost is any food or drink you might want to bring for yourself, but you may just show up and visit for a while. Us out of towners are hoping that a lot of you local classmates who see each other frequently would show up so we can visit with you too. Please pass the word on to as many classmates as you can. ATTENTION CLASSMATES: The recent mailout for Banquet reservations was just that. The picnic is still on too, it just didn't get mentioned in the Banquet reservation letter. Several of us are planning on doing both.

This is Lewis E. Gillespie writing from Muncie, Indiana, America's Hometown. i am planning on attending the reunion at Haynes Park since I used to play their as a kid. I also am planning on attending the banquet at the high school that evening. Hope to see a great turn out since many of our class mates are growing older. Lew in Muncie
