About Me	I worked a year at the Public Library, then attended college at Presentation Jr. College in Aberdeen, SD where I received a 2 year teaching certificate. I taught school in Richfield, Mn ,met and married my first husband, David Otten and we had two boys and a girl. We lived in Mpls, Chicago and later Davenport, IA. It was at this time that my husband became ill and passed away. My grandson was also born in Iowa and I went back to school at St. Ambrose College. I then remarried Curtis Shaw from ND and moved back there when I finally earned my BA in elementary education and contiued teaching. My husband was raising his two sons who were close to my daughter's age, We had four teenagers at home and at times it was a zoo, but we loved it. My oldest son remained In IA with his family. I have traveled to several states, but my favorite state aside from Minnesota is Colorado. I moved to Mpls. after my husband retired and at the moment I am doing some part time work for an education measurement company.
