| About Me | Artist, expressionist, abstract, ect, Kenneth Joaquin...Born 1948 Tulare County. Calif.......Primarily self taught...a love of and aptitude for the Arts, led him to ' College of the Sequoias ' and ' Columbia College '...where he studied both Painting and Sculpture...exhibiting and picking up awards along the way....now working out of a small Studio in San Diego, his recent Abstractions have brought him notice, both in his adopted home town and the Palm Springs area where his larger works have caught the eye of Designers and Gallery owners...he is presently a member of the San Diego Art Institute and regularly exhibits there......From the artist..."...faced with a blank canvas, the act of creating a work that both satisfies me and challenges the viewer is almost an abstraction in itself...a finished piece has directions in it not always apparent to me while applying the paint...in truth, I leave the emotio...(read more) |
