Chrys passed away at her home in Holtville, CA, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her father, Gilbert Garand; daughters, Jolene, Jessica, Joey; sons, Jim and Justin, and their families; sisters, Paulette, Michelle, Marybeth, and brother Roger. Please see her Obit in the Imperial Valley Press. I had contacted Chrys during the last two years of her life and unfortunately we did not connect prior to her passing. I have wonderful, happy, memories of her and the friends we hung out with; Eileen McGee, CT Bell, and tons of others. We shared apartments together, had lots of fun and laughs together driving in her 65 blue Mustang (I think it was a 65). She was lovely and full of energy and when I think of her it will be filled with happy times in our youth that somehow remain solid in our memories. It was a privilege to know her.
