Christy passed from complications involving a brain infection and renal failure. Her lifelong friends from Wiggin Elementary School, Hale Junior High, and James Madison High were forever, and deeply saddened by her passing. As a youngster in grade school, Christy was a trifle mischievous, feisty, athletic, and possessed a razor-sharp, fast wit -- she prided herself in keeping up with the boys at the schoolyard games and sports, never seeing herself as anything but an equal to them. She was a leader at Madison High; very popular, and an exceptionally caring friend to many, many of her classmates. We will all deeply miss Christy.
