Ray passed after a brief battle with heart issues. He was a true friend of nearly 60 years, and is truly missed by his family and friends.

My next door neighbor since I was 5 and the best man at my wedding. Everyone loved Ray, he was big hearted, easy going, fun and very considerate. Ray and I did a lot of backpacking while we were young all over the West: Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Idyllwild, Grand Canyon, Canadian Rockies to name a few. I will never forget him. Byron Chesebro
