Lisa Horan Ginapp
Class of 1980
Lisa Ginapp, MSN, RN, ACNP-BC,WCC, GNP-BC, has been promoted as the Clinical Practice Manager for Bay Area House Calls in Dickinson, Texas. She is responsible for the daily practice issues, including management of office staff and clinical providers, education of staff and collaboration with the community to improve our services to patients.
Bay Area House Calls is an innovative primary healthcare program that provides a true Medical Home Program for the frail adult in thier homes. A team of nurse practitioners, physician assistants, medical assistants and office professionals provide quality primary care with Dr. Gary Spangler JR. for patients in the southeast Houston area.
The true Medical Home concept is carried out by our primary care practice team to provide a continuum of care from home to hospital to nursing home or hospice. This allows you to have one team of providers managing your healthcare needs. We are looking out for the patient's best interest, with the ultimate goal of remaining in their homes with the quality of life they desire. We have proven in Galveston County to have the lowest re-hospitalization rates among our peers and continue to expand our service area and services provided. We now have the ability to perform lab tests, EKG's, x-rays and chelation therapy for lead toxicity to homebound patients. This provides a well rounded service that is recognized for excellent patient outcomes.
Lisa Ginapp is an Advanced Practice Nurse with multiple national certifications and is recognized as an expert in her field. She provides care for patients in hospital settings, those who reside in skilled and long-term care facilities and for homebound patients. She is also available for consults from other local healthcare providers for advanced wound care needs, as well as ostomy care and education of patients. She is a guest speaker and preceptor for the UTMB and UTHSC graduate nursing programs and provides lectures at local, state and national conferences. She is the 2010 Past President of the Houston Area Nurse Practitioners and former Website Manager for the Galveston Coalition of Advanced Practice Nurses.
