Brian was a life long student in the New Haven Unified School District and a 1989 graduate of James Logan High School. Brian died of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in 1991 while attending the University of California, San Diego. In Brian's memory, the Brian Kelly Endowment Fund has been established through the New Haven School's Foundation to benefit students in the district.
