Joined the USMC right out of High School and went to Vietnam as an infantryman. Returned an dgot a degree at the College of Charleston then commisione din the Marine Corps in Nov 1975. Sreved until I Jan 2006 after commanding at every level from Cpl through Colonel and as Chief of Staff II MEF. Served in Vietnam, Three years in the Joint Special Operations Command, Desert Shiled, Desert Storm, Grenada, and Iraq.
