I joined the navy sept 6 2005, i graduated from bootcamp in october and soon after went to pcola, florida for training for my select rate(job). after graduation i was stationed on the uss nimitz. I was placed on the flt deck adn finished three west pac deployments participating in iraqi freedom. ive been to many ports such as dubi, singapor,hong kong, japan, guam and hawaii!

My Service History started in 1944 Basic training at Fort Hood, Texas,Paratroop training Ft Benning,GA In 1945 by troop ship to Hawii, Sipan and Leyete in the Philippines where I joined the 77th Division assigned to,Charley Company of the 306th Regiment..Saw our first combat at the battle for I.E.Shima then on to Okinawa until the Island was secured. After the U.S bombed Hiroshima it was the end of combat duty.our next assignment was to occupy Hokkaido,Japan. We decommissioned the 77th division there and I was assigned to the 11th Airborne Division where I served until returning to the U.S. for a ticket home in Dec. 1946.I proudly Served as the 1st Sargent of Charley Company with the 77th Division until the end of WW2 and as First Sargent in the 308th Regiment of the 11th Airborne. I was awarded the Combat Infantry Bade,The Purple Heart and 2 Bronze stars among other commendations for my Service.As a civilian I am a Lifetime Member of the V.F.W. and the Purple Heart Clubs.
