About Me	I had joined the Coast Guard in the summer before Senior High. After "Boot Camp" I served on a Cutter for two years in HOMER,AK., as a deck seaman, then got married there in the middle of my tour to a girlfriend I had in High School. I got to go to Damage Control "A" School and was promoted in YORKTOWN, VA. I went to an Industrial Support Command, KETCHIKAN, AK. carpentry shop and was ordered to clean up hazardous material from one end of ALASKA to the other; maintenance for Cutters in a C. G. shipyard; and worked and lived on Lighthouses doing maintenance and repair from Mary Island south of Ketchikan to Hingenbrook Lighthouse near Valdez and those in between. I was in -65 F. at one extreme to 90 F at the other. Panning for gold, hunting, swimming, camping, traveling, sailing, college, filled my time in Alaska. Saw all types of whales, crabs, caribou, walrus, seals, bears, deer, moose, Northern Lights, days with no light, and days with nothing but light. I cannot write or remember all the fantastic opportunities I had experienced there. I transferred to Mobile, AL and boarded a lot of vessels from all over the world for SAFETY at SEA REGULATIONS from a MARINE SAFETY OFFICE and became a FREEMASON in 1998. In 2003 I got knighted a Knights Templar under York Rite Masonry. I transferred to Vicksburg, MS to work the river. I got a divorce in 2009 . I guess I loved my job and travels. She stayed in Mobile, AL and I got stationed back at Mobile in the Group Engineering Office. I retired and moved back to Jacksonville AL, 2012, bought a house, and joined the American Legion.
