About Me | If not now then when? I can divide by zero. I can run a 7 minute mile in just under 6 minutes while driving a motorized scooter. I cook, clean, and I under-water basket weave... and I balance all this at the same time. I believe business conventions are a great way to display how many people a business can operate without. I have won spelling bees at the Kremlin and I can bake 30 minute cookies in just over 36 minutes. I write, eat, balance, and I weave - at the same time! I discovered pants with horizontal stripes make me look chubby despite my lean figure. I discovered that research causes cancer in laboratory animals. Against widely held beliefs two girls involved in a cat fight will not randomly start kissing. While on vacation in Guam, I successfully negotiated a discount on a wooden dolphin with a local beach merchant. True Story. I read, balance, and I weave - All at the same time. I have won papier-mâché bullfights in San Juan. I earned my double noble-prize in physics after proving I can count from zero to infinity in 14 minutes. I can hurl tennis rackets at small moving objects with deadly accuracy. I draw, sing, weave, balance, and I frolic - Not necessarily in that order. And, yes, I love my mother, do my own laundry and am wearing nice, clean shoes as I'm typing this. I know I'm not for most of you and vice-versa, so if I stop responding at some point it's probably for the best. I believe good things come from relationships where two emotionally complete people come together. If you don't take yourself too seriously and are an individual rather than special, clever rather than cool, and provocative rather than boring, then I would like to learn more about you. You're probably not going to spend your time reading through my description below so e-mail me and find out how i discovered why they invented tube socks. ****** ****** Descriptions of ones' self are unfortunately static and awfully self-serving. Seeing that I am constantly changing, a work in progress as it were, It would be unfair to you for me to try and describe myself here. I'll let you make your own judgment; All you have to do is initiate a conversation with a simple hello! :) For those of you who may be slightly hesitant to ask questions, here is a brief history... I'm pretty much your normal (but far from average) 30 year old: fun-loving; laid back; care free; extremely up-beat and a little crazy. I'm cultured and spontaneous. I've lived all over the world. I just moved from the provincial backwaters of Tomah, WI.; a town defunct of culture and therefore devoid of joy, diversity, and entertainment to a town far less removed from culture. I now live five miles out of the hip, lively town of Cedar Springs, MI. Prior to here, I lived in the magnificent land that is Japan. I was in the military and had the wonderful opportunity to travel all over... I’ve seen many exotic places and a few desolate ones as well. People say I'm too nice for my own good. I disagree. I may be too trusting, but there is no such thing as too nice. I think people deserve to be treated well, no matter the circumstance. What I’m doing with my life: I currently possess an associate’s degree in applied sciences - electronics. I received it in the military and spent quite a few years involved in the field. In the Navy I was responsible for the SM2 missile guidance system. I enjoyed it immensely. In spite of my newly discovered penchant for the field of electronics, I quickly discovered that my new found satisfaction and joy of the job did not translate well into the civilian realm. I'm way too socially oriented to sit behind a counter soldering electronic components all day; I need an outlet for social discourse and intellectual shenanigans. My true passion is psychology. So, I've switched my major. I'm a very analytical type of person. I love problem solving and I love puzzles. True to my beliefs, there is nothing more puzzling than the human mind. I'm particularly interested in the duality of man: We are capable of so much compassion, beauty and love yet, conversely, and simultaneously, capable of hatred and war. The dichotomy fascinates me. How these opposites can coexist in a normal, sound, and otherwise unremarkable mind intrigues me. I'd like to delve into this and unravel it and many of the other mysterious facets of the mind. I expect to take my passion and insatiable thirst for knowledge all the way to the doctorate level. I also love skateboarding. I may not have much talent for it but I still support the lifestyle and uphold the philosophy. The skater crowd is one that finds itself free from convention and regulation, chock-full of self-expression, a mindset that refuses to be held down. Just as when a skateboarder surveys his landscape, he does not see obstacles or barriers, he sees opportunity and possibility. I too try to look past the surface and see the things that others miss. I too try to take the ordinary and make it magnificent. I do ramble a lot and to save you the ...(read more) |
