About Me	My husband, Dan, and I have six children, Shaunna (Charles) Thomas, 42; Chad (Heather), 36; Genna (Matthew) Kleinknecht, 24; Shayna, 1 9, Mackenzie, 16; and, Max, 10. We also have sixteen beautiful grandchildren, 0-21. I retired as head principal of Jackson High School in 2008, and taught English Composition at Spring Arbor University part-time. I also own Education Consultants, a contract-based school improvement firm. I recently took a position at Jackson College as English faculty in their Center for Student Success and I love it. Dan and I have been married for 37 years and have 6 children and 14 grandchildren. We lived on a 15 acre "hobby farm" outside Concord, Michigan for over 19 years. We were overrun with kids, grandkids, animals, and work, but we loved every minute. We moved back into Jackson in 2010, in order to accommodate the kids' school, church, and social activities. We all miss the farm, but the move has freed up hours of daily travel time. In 2013, once we realized our new house was just too small for our large family, we bought a huge, 3 story, house on five acres near Robinson and W. Morrell.
