About Me | After high school, I attended Walsh University in North Canton. I graduated in 1995 with a BA in Liberal Arts with a major in English and a minor in Communication Arts. I worked in the hotel industry from 1995 to 2000, eventually becoming Assistant GM of the Hampton Inn in Canton, OH. While working there, I landed a role in a no budget film called Nine Days Wonder that went on to become Best Feature at the Ohio Independent Film Festival in 2000. I then began reading every screenwriting book I could get my hands on. I Left the hotel industry and became a waiter so as to free up my time and pursue a career in film. I moved to Columbus, OH in 2000 and got a job as a Production Assistant and Video Assist Operator on the feature film A Little Inside starring Hallie Kate Eisenberg, Frankie Faison and Kathy Baker. Shortly thereafter, budget cuts forced the elimination of the Ohio Film Commission. I worked on a few indie projects in various departments including Art Director on the film Green Card Fever, as a Production Assistant and Grip on the film Mrs. Stevens Hears the Mermaids Singing, as a Production Assistant on a Speedway commercial and an episode of Martha Stewart Living as well as the feature film Speak starring Kristen Stewart. I read a lot of film making books, listened to CDs about producing films and watched DVDs about screenwriting and pitching ideas to Hollywood Producers. In 2005, I moved back to my hometown of Reading, Pa, and went to an open casting call for Invincible. I was called back as a featured background extra and received 5 waivers from the production company, entitling me to join Screen Actors Guild, which I promptly did. I have since worked on over 40 feature films, 5 television shows and a commercial in Philadelphia, NYC, Baltimore, DC and Atlantic City. I have most recently booked a featured background part as ex-cop Simon Raines on the new untitled NBC pilot starring Jimmy Smits and also as a background actor on the feature film The Dark Fields starring Bradley Cooper and Robert DeNiro. I am currently writing my first feature-length screenplay, which I intend to either sell to an independent producer, a Hollywood studio, or produce myself. In my spare time, I take acting workshops in Philadelphia and NYC and continue to wait tables. I travel to Ohio 8...(read more) |
