Dean Karafa

Class of 1963

Gaduated from St. Louis University in 1967 and started my career with NASA at the Kennedy Space Center. Was responsible for testing and launch of the first stage of the Saturn V rocket. High point of the part of my career was launching the Aollo 11 moon landing mission.

Since leaving the space program in 1971, been working in the electric power generation industry. Currently a register Professional Engineer designing power plants throughout the US.
