About	Ludek Cerny was a genius in my mind. He was an engineer, but at the same time an artist, which isn't a common thing to be. He worked tirelessly on the Cloud Gate sculpture, or as many call it, "The Bean" in Millennium Park, which is enjoyed by all in the Chicagoland area. I didn't work on it at all, but I was proud to be working in the same vicinity as Lou Cerny as he masterminded the structure to perfection. He also helped design the glass walk out "Skydeck" on Chicago's iconic Sears/Willis Tower. I saw him on TV one day explaining its functions, which today I still am impressed by. You could tell by his work ethic that he really enjoyed what he did... and it shows in Chicago's ever evolving skyline. https://www.cityofchicago.org/.../millennium_park... http://theskydeck.com/ I didn't know it, but all along he was battling with ALS.
