About Me	Left J.J. Pearce and tried one semester of College (LSU) and decided all I wanted to do was be in the U.S. Air Force. Entered the Air Force and retired in 2004 as a Colonel with 32 years and six combat tours. I teach now for a number of universities and am surviving kidney cancer and a nuisance periodic cough (non-infectious bronchitis) from being at "Ground Zero" in New York City as a responder on and after 9/11. Since retirement from the military I have been a University Professor and Consultant in Homeland Security/Emergency Management and have deployed as an intermittent employee, on over two dozen major domestic and international disasters (Haiti Earthquake, Somalia Famine, and Puerto Rico Zika Virus), for FEMA and ...(read more)
