| About Me | Been working in engineering development for the last 25 years as both a hands-on and management engineer, primarily in embedded and applications layer. Both software and hardware development of products for government usage. Recently have also been writing and presenting papers (along with some other partners) to the USDA about some new concepts on saving the family farm through the cooperative activities that involve the local land-grant universities, the farmers and industry partners. We'll see how that works out soon. When we get the space, Cathy and I like to go wine-tasting around Virginia; been to over 170 wineries. Have developed a fairly good ability to understand the grapes in Virginia; getting ready to start my own batch of Cab Sav. Still keeping the 80 lbs I lost last year off and staying fairly active (hiking, modest exercise). Our family still remains constantly in touch, which I find out is not as common as you would think. Daughters are in Raleigh and Key West, son in Fredericksburg. We like theater and enjoy the local college (UMW) productions. Yearly see a couple of orchestra productions as well.
