Dana died in Yuma, Arizona while playing tennis. He was active in tennis leagues, president of the HOA and active is social affairs. He married classmate Lynn Zick and had one daughter Beth who also attended JEB Stuart. Dana served honorably in the US Air Force during the Viet Nam time period.
