Jim and I were very good friends in high school. We were both interested in drama and music. We were in a play, Spoon River Anthology, which was one of my most treasures memories of my time at Ranum High School. Jim and I went to senior prom together and had a great time. I was glad I went with such a good friend. Jim found out he could dance that night!

After graduation, Jim went on to form a band called Moss Creek. They wrote their own music and played country and bluegrass music for many years. They toured from Springfield, Missouri to Austin, Texas in search of music success. They came close to their dreams but returned to Denver and played locally for many years.

Jim had some serious health issues but he fought to continue with his music for as long a he could. I admired his talent and ambition. In my opinion, he lived a rich full life and sought to be true to himself.
