| About Me | I graduated from college in 1984, married in 1985, had my first two children in 1987 and 1988. Had the second child in 1992. Obtained my Master's in Education in 1996, and my PhD in 1999. I've been a secreary for an insurance company, office manager, editorial associate, director of assessment in a private college, executive assistant to the president, and assistant professor teaching graduate students in higher education administration. I've served on the Indiana Commission for Higher Education--appointed by the late Governor O'Bannon, and Board Member, Vice Chair, and Chair of the Indiana Minority Health Coalition. My community services has ranged from coordinatingn neighborhood "say no to drugs" in Baton Rouge to afterschool programs in community centers (Louisiana & Indiana), and developing afterschool tutoring programs for K-12.
