| About Me | Not your typical Iowa Park resident even as a kid. But, I had a 'typical growing up'...somewhat. Was active in the band from sixth grade when I was 'invited' to join the High School Marching Band. Mr. Vaughn was the Director and 'mentored' me on drums in Junior and Senior year. I joined my first "big guys band" when I was fifteen and traveled ALL the way to Vernal, Utah to play the Big Rodeo there. The rest is history...MANY years as 'road musician'. In Anaheim, CA for a 'gig' and read in VARIETY about auditions being held at local theater - I went just for a lark - got the role. And that began my acting career for the next decades. Music and Acting! HEAVEN on earth for me. Also along the way I came down with a slight problem - alcoholism - and finally in 1979 began my LONG road back...with a few 'fall offs'. But in 1988 I accomplished 'sobriety' and am now thirty three years a 'recovered alcoholic. Also in 1988 I met my then 'partner', Rick, and in 2014 we were married at City Hall in NYC (yes I'm gay and have been as far back as I can remember - shouldn't be any surprise to anyone I grew up with). I've had a long, varied, sometimes down, most times up, positive, unpredictable, astounding at times, in the right place at the right time, sometimes overwhelming, and of all the things I could say, a life filled with love, compassion, and caring by just the right people. ...(read more) |
