About Me	Completed a BA and MA in anthropology (archaeology). After the MA I worked for a year with the Office of the State Archaeologist in Iowa City, then for a cultural resource contract firm in Illinois, before beginning a career as an archaeologists with the USDA Forest Service. I worked for the Forest Service in Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota before becoming the Forest Archaeologist of the Ottawa National Forest where I worked for 10 years and helped develop a national volunteer program called Passport in Time. After leaving the Ottawa in 1999, I managed the cultural resource program for the Clearwater and Nez Perce National Forests in Idaho. During my time there, I helped coordinate the national bicentennial of the Lewis and Clark expedition, and testified before Congress concerning protection of sites along the expedition's route.
