| About Me | Married Earl Morrison (Ionia Class of 1956) July 30, 1961, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Ionia. Resided in Seward, NE and Freeport, IL before moving to Ypsilanti in 1965. Served as corporate secretary of my church, and fill in as pianist whenever our organist is unavailable. My best friend from kindergarten still lives in Ionia--Gloria (Smith) Cook--and we keep in constant touch. We have traveled together to Europe on several occasions. Siblings: One older brother, George, class of 1957 (deceased February 2014--married Ann Arthur, class of 1958--deceased), Four younger siblings include sister, Phyllis Mahlich,(Deceased); brother Charles (retired U.S. Navy--deceased); brothers Clifford, Ionia, and Daryl, Ionia Parents were Harold (deceased September 1982) and Virginia (deceased May 2001) We lived at 629 North Jackson Street. Neighbors and playmates included Pat Butler of my class, Linda Swinehart, Jeanette Warnke, Nancy & Vicki Barcelow, David & Toni Strand, Bob Waters, and Mary York Before becoming confirmed in the Lutheran church at age 18, I was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Ionia as were other members of my class including Karen Roberts, Rex Powell, Rosemary Palmatter, Norma Priest, Jerry Roberts, & Harry Selleck. (Hope I haven't forgotten anyone.) My Grandfather Orin Mason and Uncle Charles Mason, were the owners & operators of Mason's Cleaners across from the Ionia Theatre.
