| About Me | After graduating from high school I joined the Air Force with my best friend Pat Stamsen. Ultimately ended up in Viet Nam. After the service I returned to Ionia and work at a local Chrysler Plant, and began going to college fulltime. Married the lovely Jan in 1971 (we are still together) and continued working and going to school while fathering a daughter and son. Graduated with a BS in Business. Chrysler closed the plant so I went to work for Amway Corp in nearby Ada. Worked at various positions in Human Resources rising to the positions of Manager of Compensation for U.S. operations, then to Manager of International HR, traveling the world providing HR support to Affiliates and new market launches. Retired in 1998 and went to work as the Director of HR for Behr Ind. in Grand Rapids, Mi.
