About Me | I have too much to do, yet none of it is satisfying or fulfilling in any way. Any idiot can draw or do music! I am highly skilled at anything that doesn't pay well! Perfect pitch doesn't pay the bills, but it is fun. Numbers are fun too, but they are a lot more fun if you actually have dollar signs in front of them! Oh well, at least I'm honest...too honest to make much of a living, I'm afraid. Perhaps my father was right and I should've gone to law school. I was an idiot not to have done so! He was always right. Hindsight is 20-20. At least I'm pretty good at fixing things, because I'm not too good at making enough money to pay others to do so. My family only loves me when I'm making money and giving it to them, so law school would've been a much better choice. Actually I could've left school at the end of 4th grade and done pretty much all I've been doing for the last decade or two...taking care of people who don't like to take care of me in return! I wish I could start over. I was thinking about joining a support group like "Parents without a Prayer!" Or possibly "Single parents who get to take care or their own parents with dementia at the same time as they are trying to raise their own kids." How did I end up in such a dead-end life anyway? I definitely could use some hope about now. Avoid caregiving if at all you can. It's the most thankless job in the world. To top things off, I'm allergic to alcohol, which is really too bad, because I could really benefit from some of that right now! Maybe I should join the "Witness Protection Program" so I could just disappear and start all over again from scratch with no encumbrances to hold me back. Sometimes I just feel like packing up my car, driving away and never looking back if perchance I might turn into a pillar of salt like Lot's wife if I did. I need luck. I have a lot of luck, just not the right kind! What goes around does not necessarily come around! Maybe I'll get rewarded in the afterlife. I sure hope so. I hope all the praying I do is not in vain! I'll keep trying because I don't know what else to do! I had really wanted/needed to go to church tomorrow, but the water is turned off due to a broken pipe, so I'll be waiting around for an emergency plumber instead because I don't have the right tools to do the repair myself. I don't have training either, but that has never stopped me before! I am very grateful to neighbors and old friends who kindly gave me rides all week when both of my old cars were broken down and cabs never seemed to arrive. Thank you Chinda, Gary and Paul for unexpectedly driving me where I needed to go when I so desperately needed rides because of my unforeseen transportation complications. Cary was driving me around when I couldn't drive due to my injured foot/ankle before that, so I am very grateful to him as well. What happened to my old, dependable self??? 2012 has been too hard. 2013 has been much harder! These stupid injuries must stop! (Last year it was my foot/ankle, this year I broke my wrist. I'm trying to get in the best shape I can so I can overcome my extreme clumsiness due to an uncorrected partial clubfoot...and my parents had the money to fix it when I was born! I am determined not to let it get the best of me. Exercis...(read more) |
