Melvin W. More

Army, 2 Years
Mel became a Staff Sgt. and was sent to Korea in l951. He was engaged in combat Nortjh of the 38th parallel and was killed in action, Sept. 7, l952 He was awarded the DISTINGUISHED SERVICE CROSS, posthumously. Please read the detaiils on the Web site, Combat Heroes.com Referance the Korean War. You will find it in the Hall of Heroes.

Robert C. Blake
Class of 1977
Air Force, 20+ Years
Robert C. Blake graduated from Inglewood High School as the Class Valedictorian in 1977. He entered the US Air Force on the delayed enlistment progam in Dec 1980. He served honorably during his 24 years and retired at the rank of TSgt. He tours of duty included Germany, England, Saudi Arabia, and various bases in the continental United States. He was also a member of a 15 man crew that helped return the 13 Americans killed in the bombing of the American Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya in 1998.

Our Inglewood High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Inglewood High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated.
