| About Me | Then we sat on the edge of the earth, with our feet dangling over the side, and marveled that we had found each other. erik dillard I am now living near Dallas/Ft. Worth. Paul has finally returned back from Iraq after 8 very long years. He is now with DynCorp near Roanoke, Tx. It has been overwhelming to wake up next to the man who has given you everything you've ever dreamed of, shown you the world, and has remained your best friend and confident throughout all of these years. My kids have scattered out of state. Christina, Robert, and Kiley, are now in Utah. Kiley is going on 5 and is such an amazing little girl. I only wish we could spend so much more time with her than we do or did. But at this point in our lives we can't wait to do the Disney adventure with both of our grandbabies. Christopher is in Mississippi. Cheyenne is now 2 and to watch her smile could light up the world. It is literally infectious. Kandace is doing fantastic and enrolled in college. Not an easy thing to do with a toddler. Once again our regret is that we haven't been able to spend alot of time watching her grow up. Thank goodness for modern communication methods. It was at a great sacrifice of being without him and having him here for life's greatest milestones. But hindsight is always 20/20. After 18 yrs of marriage it feels like we are really just starting round 2. The empty nest syndrome is not as bad as we thought it would be. That's me in a package. All that remains is finding a job that I enjoy and that shares the same hrs. and da...(read more) |
