About	Ron "Papaw" Rhodes, 64, of London, Ohio, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011, in his residence. He was born in Columbus on July 18, 1947, a son of the late Maurice L. and Janice N. Morris Rhodes. He also was preceded in death by his aunt, Nita Wood. Papaw loved completely his Lord, his family, and his community. Papaw's love reached out through the Summer Lunch Program, other community service and to all children who crossed his path. Giving brought him joy whether it was a kind word of encouragement or a visit to the concession stand at Bowlus field. Papaw was truly a light on the hill. Papaw was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, serving as a member of the United States Army. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Margie Rhodes; children, Rhonda (Mark) Colvin of London and Randy (Christine) Rhodes of Grove City; brothers, Richard K. (Glenda) Rhodes of Sugar Hill, Ga., and Randall M. (Cathy) Rhodes of Ashland; and grandchildren, Mark, Amanda, Ronnie, Paige, Matthew, Abby, Emily and Josh. Papaw's family invites friends to call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Madison County Vineyard, 106 Olive St., London, where the Rev. Denny Tatman officiates a funeral at 10 a.m. Thursday. Interment follows in the Somerford Township Cemetery, London. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Madison County Vineyard Outreach, 106 Olive St., London, Ohio.
