Man dies of self-inflicted gun wounds
INDEPENDENCE — Michael R. Stone, 31, of Independence has died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the Independence Police Department. Stone was reported missing at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and his body was found at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday. His funeral will be Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at St. John’s Catholic Church. Friends may call after 7 tonight at the Mason Funeral Home, where these special services will be held Friday: combined parish and Catholic Daughter’s rosary, 3 p.m.; and wake, 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Winthrop.
