Steven A. Schmitt, 44, died Monday, July I0, 1995, in People’s Memorial Hospital, Independence, of injuries suffered in a farm accident. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup. Burial: St. John’s Cemetery, Independence. Friends may call anytime Thursday at White Funeral Home, Jesup.Survivors include his wife, Sherri; a daughter, Shannon, and a foster son, Justin, both at home; his parents, Marva and Donald of Independence; five sisters, Becky Shedenhelm of Le Roy, Minn., Nancy Austin of Waterloo, Susan Miller of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Lisa Moore and Jody Schmitt, both of Independence; and four brothers. Tony and Dana, both of Independence, Jeff of Lillian, Texas, and Lew of Springville.
