About Me	While an undergraduate at the University of Chicago, I spent one year as an exchange student in Frankfurt, Germany. After graduating in Chicago, served in the Marines in Vietnam. After release from Active Duty, got Master's Degree in City Planniing at OSU and went to work in Pittsburgh. In Pgh, I married Margaret Wilder, a girl from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. In 1971, I got a job with the City Planning Department in Tuscaloosa. In 1981, I became Director, Community Planning & Development Department in Tuscaloosa. I remained in the Marine Corps Reserve, retiring as a LtCol in 1990. I became a Catholic in 1985. In 1997, I began preparing to be come a Permanent Deacon, and was ordained in December, 2000. I retired from the City of Tuscaloosa in 2002. As a deacon, I serve in Hispanic ministry at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Tuscaloosa. Duties include preachin...(read more)
