About Mrs. Kimberly of Nashville, IL, departed this life surrounded by her family at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 6:41am. She had attained the age of 55 years, 5 months, and 29 days.

Kim was born on December 13, 1969, in Peoria, IL, the daughter of Terry and Judith (Rankin) Longenbach. She grew up in Chillicothe, IL, where she graduated high school. Kim attended and graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, where she also met her husband, Doug Kell, whom she married on June 22, 1996, and he survives her passing. Kim went on and earned her Registered Nursing license through Kaskaskia College in Centralia, IL. She worked as a registered nurse for many different offices and hospitals and was currently working at Belleville Memorial West. Kim enjoyed being a nurse and loved helping others. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

Along with her husband Doug she is survived by her two children, Ryan Kell of Nashville, IL and Rachael (Kell) Karlsson and her husband Erik of Belleville, IL; her father, Terry Longenbach of Deland, FL; her brother, Adam Longenbach of Chillicothe, IL; her aunt, Suzy Stockton of Gulf Shores, AL; cousins, Stephanie Stockton, John Hazelwood, and Brian Hazelwood; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Judith Longenbach and her grandparents.

A private graveside service was held at Greenwood Cemetery in Nashville, IL on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Following the private graveside service, the family invited friends and family to join them at the American Legion in Nashville to celebrate Kim’s life.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Kaskaskia College Foundation for the Kim Longenbach Kell Memorial Scholarship Fund and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home. This scholarship will be awarded to students hoping to earn their nursing degree.
