Lester (Buddy) Ohlmann, age 60, of Chillicothe, was called to be with the Lord in Heaven on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Accolade Healthcare of Peoria.
Buddy was born on February 4, 1962 in Peoria, IL to Lester William and Joyce Ann (Blagden) Ohlmann. He married Mary Ray on September 24, 1982 in Peoria.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; two sons, William and Cody Ohlmann of Chillicothe; two sisters, Marla Goard and Jody (Brian) McDaniel, both of Chillicothe; one brother, Jeffrey Todd Ohlmann of Chillicothe; one brother-in-law, Mike Gaskins; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Carla Gaskins; and one brother, Jack Ohlmann.
Buddy loved the outdoors, especially fishing and mushroom hunting. He loved to go out to various locations with his adopted sons, Jimmie Russell, and Danny Carter. He spent most of his spring out mushroom hunting until his health declined and he could not make it in the woods anymore. He always loved to go down to the Peoria Casting Club with his two sons for their Junior Rodeo fishing derbies that are held twice a year. Buddy also enjoyed staying up from 8pm till 6am through the night, playing his casinos online, which he never really won money on.
