I was a Watercraft Engineer for 23 years.
I retired as a SFC while assigned to TACOM as a watercraft subject matter expert for the Integrated Logistic Support Center.
Combat veteran during Desert Storm and Operation Enduring Freedom and logistic and humanitarian support in Haiti.
I’ve seen a lot of countries I would have never gotten the chance to visit. Those that are included are England, Italy, Crete, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Panama, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Puerto Pico, Cuba, Honduras, Columbia, Azores, Japan, Singapore and Egypt. I was stationed in Diego Garcia for over a year. By far being my favorite duty assignment, there were only three Army personnel assigned to the island. This made life very nice. I had my own apartment. I was furnished a wide screen TV with a Bose home theater system, a Trek Mountain Bike and I was afforded the opportunity to go deep sea fishing once a month. I worked as a quality assurance evaluator on the support contract that maintained pre-positioned war stock.
