Sgt. Drakulich lost his life while serving in Afghanistan with the 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division of the US Army based out of Fort Bragg, NC.

David was the best guy I knew. He had a heart of gold. I used to get picked on (kind of a lot)in high-school. I was a punk rock girl, kinda chubby, shaved head and I wrestled. He always had my back, always stuck up for me. We were kindred spirits, him in his tye-dye shirts and his hippy ways, me in my doc martens and fishnets and punk rock music. We rode the bus every day together....since middle school actually. I miss him a lot. I hope he's putting in a good word for me with the greater good. I'm gonna need it. Love you and miss you David.
