Mrs. Burkhart was my high school chemistry teacher at Proctor Hug High School in Reno from 1976 to 1980. It has been said that a person's life gets influenced by only 5 important people and 5 events. Mrs. Burkhart was one of those people for me. Her support and belief in me made me believe in myself, and she always had a cheery attitude. I am confident that there are many other of her students that have similarly benefited from her kind support. Her life's work had a profound impact on my life and this world.
