Harri (Harriet) Ruth Bruun born on March 16, 1950, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; passed away of natural causes at home in Battle Ground, Washington on Saturday, January 24, 2026. She was 75. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother Floyd (Grace) Siepmann, sister Louise (Carl) Zmuda, Nieces Laura Zmuda, Kayla Hiatt, nephew Jay Zmuda, many cousins and her Aunt Shirley Widing.
Harri had a lifelong passion for animals, especially wolves and parrots. Her last years she enjoyed house sitting and especially loved taking care of dogs and giving them treats. Harri was a giver. She loved giving candy to little children, sweet and savory treats like candy and nuts to friends and relatives. She appreciated the little things in life; a cup of coffee and a piece of pie made her day.
Harri took several cruises and loved traveling by motor home and always loved the Oregon beaches. She enjoyed several trips with her mother and Aunt Jenny to British Columbia, Canada and a wonderful trip to Hawaii with a friend.
One of her cousins mentioned, "She will always be remembered for her bright spirit and finding new ways to get into mischief." Harri wanted to be part of things and enjoyed many extended family gatherings in Battle Ground. She was loved by many relatives who have fond memories of times she spent with our family. A niece said she had a silly, charming sense of humor, especially when she was younger. A fun lady.
She especially appreciated and loved her many friends at her last apartment in Battle Ground, where she lived for the past 13 years. She loved coloring beautiful flowers and birds.
She will be missed. We would like to end with, "God bless you." Just as Harri would have done.
