| About | Peggy Spielman, just shy of 74 years, passed away Aug. 28, 2021, in Vancouver, WA. Born Sept. 16, 1947, in Underwood, ND, to Ray and Norma Spielman, she was the fourth of six children. At age 12, Peggy moved with her family to Vancouver, WA. She graduated from Hudson Bay High School in 1965 and completed her BA of Social Science at WSU Vancouver. For many years, she worked for Catholic Community Services of Western Washington serving as Director for the Vancouver office. Peggy loved spending time with family, friends, and her book club. She enjoyed camping, reading, music, art deco, and WSU football. Throughout her illness, she carried herself with great dignity, style and grace. She maintained her sense of humor and strength of faith. Peggy will be missed and remembered fondly. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Sharon and Angela; her brother-in-law, Jim Winiecki; and her loving, service dog/companion for 14 years, Flirt. Peggy is survived by siblings, Jeanne Winiecki; Larry Spielman and wife, Carol; Rosanne Petersen and husband, Robert; brothers-in-law, Chris Davies (Angela) and Ted Smith (Sharon); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. |
