About	James D. Newfield (2/19/1950 - 6/3/2017) James David Newfield, beloved brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Kaiser Sunnyside after a batter with cancer. James was born in Centralia, WA to Howard and Maxine Newfield, but he spent most of his life in Vancouver, where he was a teacher. When not at home, James was traveling and had friends in all corners of the globe. He loved bridge, the Portland Trailblazers, his farm, and talking politics. James is survived by his sister, Susan Baer; two nieces and a nephew; and innumerable friends. James was a friend, mentor, and a champion of those who knew him, always inspiring others to live their lives fully.
