Thomas Besser
Class of 1969
Tom is professor of Veterinary medicine and pathology and microbiology at the University of Washington, Pullman. He has done extensive research on such important topics as E coli Camylobacter and Salmonella in the food source. He has over 130 publications in reputable medical literature. He is a very good role model for students considering a life dedicated to the veterinary and medical fields.
Tom graduated with the Hudson High School class of 1969. He the went on to the University of Wisconsin , graduating with a BS in Zoology. He then went to the University of Minnesota Veterinary school to obtain a DVM. After this he did graduate work and received a PhD from the University of Washington, Pulman, washington, where he remains on staff.
